The COVID-19 pandemic is hurting all of us. It has revealed that we live in a very fragile system and it has failed many members of our community. From food scarcity to being rent-burdened and possibly losing their home many families are in great need. The government's failure to respond immediately to this worldwide health crisis, to not having enough PPE to protect our essential workers, including our doctors and nurses, we can see that the old ways were not the best ways. We need a better way.
